AJ Boys Drop Baseball Match to Central, AJ Girls Take Wins in Softball and Soccer

The Andrew Jackson Varsity boys’ baseball team lost a battle with Central Eagles at home on Wednesday evening 9-3. The Eagles came out strong and put 4 runs on the board in the first inning. AJ’s Connor Killough scored AJ first run in the second inning. Colby Jackson and Brett Percival scored the remaining two AJ runs in the third inning. The Vols held the Eagles from scoring until the 6th inning when the Eagles scored 4 more runs. Curt Chapman belted out a home run in the top of the 7th to cap the Eagles win with 9 runs. The Eagles scored 11 hits to the Vols 7 hits. AJ will host Chesterfield Friday.

The Lady Vols softball hosted the Central Lady Eagles for a regional game. The Lady Vols topped the Lady Eagles 6-3.

The AJ Lady Vols Soccer team traveled to Lewisville for Jv and Varsity matches. The Junior Lady Vols blanked the Junior Lady Lions 9-0. The Lady Vols played into overtime to take the match 2-1.
